I can't play this game anymore, can we still be friends?
As my brother's formal and graduation approaches, I am overwhelmed by feelings of sadness and nostalgia as I remember the end of one chapter, and the beginning of something so much greater than I thought could ever be.
Before, I used to feel as if there was something so magical about graduating, with all promises of " friends forever" being made, going to the formal/prom in this gorgeous dress, having fun with your best friends and having that one last week to unite even enemies. All of a sudden in those last pending weeks, who we were for those 6 years, didn't matter. But rather a collection of memories to create that one perfect moment.
But now, as I have undergone 2 years at uni, I realize that those promises don't matter. The kid you were then, is not the adult you are now. The problems you faced then, are nowhere near as mature and realistic as the contentions you encounter now. The people you surrounded yourself with then, may not be the ones you allow into your life now. And that's a life lesson you learn. Live and let those who encourage you, and inspire you be the ones you hold onto forever. Let the ones whom are honest and kind remain.
So as my brother graduates next week, I leave behind my memories through these photos, in order to create new ones with people of whom I am so lucky to have in my life.
Thoughtfully yours,
Grace

Cause we won't stop, cause we've got to make a difference in this life
Second entry | We've made it
I've decided to split this blog up into three aspects (fashion, family and music), which may reflect my split personalities. Perhaps I'm kidding, but it's most likely that I'm not.
FASHION | the personality for old memories
