Song of the Day

One of my favourite songs are Charlie Chaplin's Smile. 

"Smile, though your heart is aching, 

smile even though its breaking, 

when there are clouds in the sky, you'll get by

 If you smile, through your pain and sorrow, 

Smile and maybe tomorrow, 

you'll see that life is still worthwhile if you just smile."

That simple notion, that one simple action can change your life, not only in that instant, but for the better intrigues me, cause its so often that we get caught up in the emotions of the now and the living. 

This song has encouraged me to stop living for the future and to live for the now, and take several moments to breathe and smile. It sounds so corny, and it sounds so unrealistic, but how many people actually follow through with the words they read and actually smile in that moment? 

So, smile. It does get better, and It will get better. It may not seem like it now, but you are strong enough, courageous enough, and brave enough to withstand and go through whatever it is that troubles you. The concept of faith and belief is instilled within everyone whether you believe in  God or not. The concept of positivism and optimistism is alive in you, and there is some part of you that believes in the good. So instead of just believing and seeing, and knowing that things will get better, how bout following through and taking action for the happiness and well-being of yourself and others? 


UNI FRIENDS

On a side note, my uni girls are some of the most absolutely amazing people ive ever had the pleasure of knowing. I love how we are all diverse, different in ethnicity, culture and religious beliefs and somehow it doesnt affect our friendship and what we mean to each other.In a world where difference is frowned upon, its here, in our friendship that i truly do have something to be proud of. These three girls, are the most honest, caring and most loving of people. We mock the hell out of each other, but when it comes down to it, if any of us where hurting or upset for any given moment, we would be there for each other in an instant. Yeh, for those who know us, we might not be considered "loving" but you can tell in our honesty and friendship that we would do say or do anything to make the other happy.

Despite the fact that i attend a different uni, these girls never fail me, and never fail to make me feel like i still belong. These girls are one of those true diamonds that you want to keep forever regardless of changing circumstances such as the aforementioned.

The beauty in our friendship is definitely beyond the words, but more in the actions taken place.
I will never ever forget these girls, and what they mean to me.

Thanks for always being there for me, for driving me to tears with your sense of humour, and never failing to make me smile! Rosemary, Sammy and Nada, I love you all to bits.
