songs, books and courage

the cinematography, the location, the song, everything about the video is everything i love.
the wild, the genre, the freedom, the way in which the leaves are directed by the wind, or the way the sun eclipses all images on the screen sporadically.

And it's also such a good and calm listen when reading a book. I currently finished the hunger games in 4 hours, and by no mean, especially for me, was it an easy feat. I've never been a reader. Ask anyone I know, anyone who is close to me, and especially my family. But I find that this book is relatable, even if it tells stories of war. It boasts of the struggle between good and bad, the act of humanity, and how sometimes the worse and unspeakable things can be done out of passion and pure emotion. I think when put under pressure we are exactly like that. Struggling.

The strength that Katniss showed despite all odds, to sacrifice her sisters reaping, in order for her not to undergo a certain and punishable is truly incredible. It shows great courage and bravery of how willing you were able to go to ensure that the people who surround you, and whom you love were protected from the adversity of the world. I can only hope that we think of others before ourselves despite any pressure, and most importantly our own desires.
